                                                                   BLOG #3: Progress
Progressing in my journey to learn the ins and outs of longboarding has proven to be a little difficult, being that longboarding is a weather permitting sport. That being said, however I think I  am progressing slowly but surely. In class, I have been able to watch youtube tutorials for beginners, as well as research the pros and cons for each different style of longboard. I have concluded that, to start off, I should probably be riding a wider, lower board for all the purposes i will use it for to begin with.
I also want to try out a multitude of different boards, however I don't have the money to buy multiple different boards. My plan of action for this problem is to borrow different types of boards from different friends, as well as visit play it again sports and other second hand sport shops to try and find a variety of different boards.
My in class work will consist of tutorials and videos, as well as eventually editing and making the video i intend ti take documenting my experience int a final product.

So far in working on my 20 time project, I believe my project will not only lead to me learning about something I have never done before, but I also am hoping to become very good at long boarding and hopefully, it's something I could get into and enjoy for the rest of my life.
I am however, worried about my final product and my presentation, simply because I am not necessarily learning a lot that I can share with others, more so as I am learning how to do something through experience and practice and recording my experience. I think it will be very cool for me to learn something I have never even dabbled in before and I look forward to hopefully finding something I will enjoy a lot moving forward.
Long boarding has been a nation wide trend and something I have never really shown interest into anything like long boarding. I hope that at the end of this project, I will have mastered a skill I will continue to use in the near future and collegiate years ahead.

Learning how to long board provides quite the challenge when it comes to research, because it is hard to come up with research questions that truly make you think more about the act of long boarding.

  •       What are the differences in abilities between different long boards?
  •       Where did long boarding aspire from?
  •       How relevant is long boarding in different regions? Is it nation wide?
  •       What did longboarding stem from?
  •        How far can I take it?/how good good can one get at longboarding
